Abstract:In this article ,the effects of temperature on the microstructure and mechanical properties of ex-truded AZ61 magnesium alloy were investigated via microscope ,scanning electron microscope and tensile test machine .It was found that extrusion deformation could fine the grains of AZ61 magnesium alloy by dynamic recrystallization .With the increment of the extrusion temperature from 370 ℃ to 400 ℃ ,the grains grew up ,which led to the obvious reduction of the tensile strength and yield strength ,but the elon-gation had little change .After being extruded under conditions of extrusion ratio of 32 and extrusion tem-perature of 370 ℃ ,the AZ61 alloy could gain homogeneous microstructure and good mechanical properties , meanwhile the tensile strength ,yield strength and elongation of AZ61 reached 320 .2 MPa ,236 .8 MPa and 15 .4, ,respectively .
